Despite good design and usability, often phones with push-button dialing have a significant disadvantage — very low microphone sensitivity. This applies mainly to cheap Chinese vehicles, however, sometimes found in more expensive phones.
The test showed that the amplitude of the audio voltage in the line they are often inferior to even a regular telephone with a carbon microphone. This has two reasons, one of them is a very simple diagram of the conversational site, and as a result, low gain microphone circuit. The second, more significant reason is the poor quality electret microphones. So, out of ten instances tested, only one was of excellent quality, all the rest had a very low sensitivity. The same microphones are used in imported stereo systems, they can be used in phones however the test showed that they are not the best quality.
There is a simple solution — add another stage of amplification in the microphone circuit. Scheme (рис. 1) going surface mounting directly on the PCB of the phone.

Сначала при поднятой трубке телефона измеряют напряжение на электретном микрофоне в точке A. Обычно это 2.5…3 В. Затем микрофон отключают (предварительно отключив телефон от линии), подключают транзистор VT1, и подбором резистора (R3 добиваются такого же напряжения в этой точке. Подключив микрофон к R1, измеряют напряжение в точке B. Оно также должно быть в пределах 2,5…3 В (при подключении микрофона необходимо соблюдать полярность). Если взять R1 равным Rтел., подбор R1 не потребуется. Подстроенным резистором R2 добиваются устранения акустической связи между телефоном и микрофоном, уменьшая избыток усиления.
При наличии высокочастотных наводок на микрофон можно параллельно микрофону подключить конденсатор 1500…2200 пФ.
